There are nightclubs, a night movie in a big screen in the Grape Day Park, or a day at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park for the kids.

You can begin by first going to the flight line safari in San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Here you get to go zip lining over the caged animals at a thrilling height. It is safe and comfortable and you get to go as high as 160ft. You are trained on how to use the gear for safe landing. If the flight line is too extreme for you, there is the Rolling Safari Segway experience. This wild adventure is a tour that takes you near the uncaged African and Asian beasts. Before the tour, everyone is given a tutorial on how to use the Segway X2, which is a two-wheel off-road personal transporter built for off roads or beaten paths. You get to see these animals in their natural environment up-close and take pictures.
The well-known Trapeze High has been giving people of all ages a wonderful experience on the flying trapeze since the year 2002. It is a perfect place to host parties and team building experiences. The instructors are trained and can teach participants from as young as seven years to be experienced trapeze flyers. The flying trapeze gives you the courage to face your fears and soar to greater heights!
Visit the park and see the amazing and majestic Queen Califia’s Magical Circle, a sculpture garden designed by world class artist Niki de Saint Phalle which has nine large sculptures, a big snake artwork, and a maze all designed by him.
El Adoquinado is the first ever paved street in Escondido and has become very popular over the years. It is a spot where people meet, interact and socialize, musicians entertain passers-by and light up the atmosphere and artists showcase their products. Shops and ATMs are available as well. It is usually shut down at night for vehicles so as to reduce traffic on other streets.

Cultural Arts Galore
The Old Escondido Historic District was established in 1991. It is rich in heritage and one of the oldest communities in Escondido. It features a large collection of architectural treasures like the Victorians, elegant and well-crafted bungalows, Post World War II residences, and an electric art deco from the year 1881. The area has approximately 900 properties, sandwiched in by the 13th avenue, 5th avenue on the north, Chestnut to the east and Escondido Boulevard to the west.
There is the Palomar Observatory which is located in the northern part, a short drive from Escondido. It is a state-of-the-art astronomical research center, courtesy of the California Institute of Technology. The observatory has five telescopes installed that are used for sight-seeing or research.
